China Visa from Sri Lanka
Travelling to China for business or a holiday? We check your documents, prepare the application and, for a business visa, arrange the invitation letter. Below is everything the embassy asks for.

Have these five things ready. They are the same for a visa on its own and for a visa taken with one of our business tours.

Original passport
At least 6 months of validity left from the date of application, and at least 2 blank visa pages.

2 recent colour photographs
Taken against a plain white background, 33 mm × 48 mm, full face, without headwear or glasses (headwear only for religious reasons).

Business registration certificate, or an employment letter
Your business registration certificate. If you are employed: an employment confirmation letter from your employer.

Bank statements for the last 3 months
The closing balance must be at least LKR 500,000 for a tourist visa and LKR 5,000,000 for a business visa. The balance must have built up gradually over time — a sudden deposit just before applying (for example a balance of LKR 10,000 that becomes LKR 510,000 after one deposit of LKR 500,000) is not accepted.

Bank balance confirmation letter
From your bank, addressed to: Visa Officer, Embassy of the People's Republic of China, 381A, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7.
The embassy decides every application and may ask for further documents. We check your documents before they are submitted.
Bank balance: tourist and business visa
Tourist visa
Closing balance of at least LKR 500,000 on the last 3 months' bank statements.
Business visa
Closing balance of at least LKR 5,000,000 on the last 3 months' bank statements.
The balance has to build up gradually. A sudden large deposit shortly before applying is not accepted.
